Jewish tradition holds that after the parting of the Red Sea, when the Egyptians drowned and the Israelites made it safely across, the angels in heaven were all partying and celebrating and dancing and happy; yet, God was sitting in a corner all sad and crying, in fact we are told God was weeping.
So one angel asked God why He was not celebrating since His children, the Israelites, were freed from slavery in Egypt and their oppressors drowned in the Red Sea? God looked up and said: “How can I celebrate and how can I be happy when my children drowned in the Red Sea!”
That’s the heart of my God, who isn’t content when any of His children are lost. God wants all His children to be with Him, for He makes the sun shine on the good and the bad alike. God doesn’t discriminate.
